Word of the Year – 2018

Finally after a lot of praying and reading and working through my Powersheets/goals/journals/etc….I have my word of the year.

Last year my word was anchored. I wanted to build a foundation for our life and all the chaos that involves. This year….the plan is to FLOURISH! Flourish in whatever God has for me. I’m so excited about this.

Flourish is defined by Webster as “grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment”.  Psalm 92:12-13 says “The righteous flourish like palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the courts of our God.”

Synonyms of flourish include grow, thrive, prosper, do well, bloom.

As you can see, I like words. But this word refers so well to how I want to live. I want to personally flourish along with our family and our garden and how we get to serve God and His kingdom.

Do you choose a word of the year? What’s yours??

If you’re following along with this week’s posts, you’ll notice it’s all about goals and this new year.
