Friday was dark. Saturday was quiet. But Sunday was coming. And sadly, Jesus’ followers were emotional, exhausted, afraid, and not remembering what He had promised. He promised that He would fulfill the Old Testament prophecies. He wouldn’t be dead for long.

Notes:
- Joseph from Arimathea – was not a servant of Jesus but ended up serving him the way none of his followers could
- Normally criminals were just left for the animals but no one wanted this scene to happen during Passover so Pilate granted the wishes of Joseph
- The preparation of Jesus’ body was quick because Sabbath was near
- At this time, Sabbath was Saturday. So they were hurrying on Friday afternoon
