2021 Holiday Gift Guide: For the Kids
After sharing a few other gift guides, a kid gift guide is what everyone is asking for. If I’m being honest, I don’t want to suggest you purchase your child or anyone’s child a bunch of junk or just things that they will outgrow by next Christmas. The consumerism that is holidays in America is crazy but I also love gifting things to my kids and others. Below you’ll find practical gifts. Books, outside toys (kids need to be outside!), and games. Below that list with links, I’ve added an additional list of ideas that are year-long and/or experiences.
- WheelBritz
At a campground this summer we saw kids riding at dusk (which honestly kind of gives me anxiety) but they had these lights on their wheels. Their parents could see them and so could drivers. The kids told us all about them and how much they liked them. Can’t wait to add some to our bikes. - Guess In 10 Game
Our 5 year old got this game to his birthday. It’s wonderful and we’re adding to the stack with some of the other varieties for Christmas. There’s a junior version but I’d recommend the regular so you’re kids can use it for longer. - Light-up Scooter
The reviews on this scooter are mixed. Some people have issues with the batteries staying in place. But most people seem to love them. Ours seem fine and the kids will be excited to get them. *Don’t tell them that these will be under the tree on Christmas morning* - Lego Classic Set
Any age, any kid Legos are a hit! Encourage skills and imagination. - Kindle Kids Reader
This Kindle connects to the library and Kindle Unlimited. If your kid is an avid reader, this would be a wonderful gift! - The Gospel Story Bible
There’s not enough great words about the bible. It is my favorite children’s story bible. Each story includes the gospel and discussion questions.
