Best Books of 2016 // Lacey Reads

For 2016, I randomly set a goal to read 40 books. 40?!? Most people would think I was a little crazy. Well I am and I read more than 40 books! I shared my list of books to read in 2017 yesterday but here’s my favorites from 2016 (in no particular order).

• Wild Things by Stephen James & David Thomas // The Art of Nuturing Boys
• Simply Tuesday by Emily P. Freeman // Small-Moment Living in a Fast-Moving World
• Glimpses of Grace by Gloria Furman // Treasuring the Gospel in Your Home
• Make it Happen by Lara Casey // Surrender Your Fear. Take the Leap. Live on Purpose.
• Grace Not Perfection by Emily Ley // Embracing Simplicity, Celebrating Joy
• The Finishing School by Val Woerner // How One Book Nerd Began Living What She Learned

I feel like there’s a theme in those books but that wasn’t planned. I did love reading about raising boys and learning about how different they are from me and what I can best do to raise them right! If you’re a boy mom, I would definitely recommend the first two books on the list.  The rest of the list is encouraging, uplifting, and would be great to help make any year better!
