Advent Christmas Book Countdown
For some, the paper chain countdown is a great idea. Potentially a traditional advent calendar or some unique idea that works perfectly for your family. For us, the book loving family, we’re going with a book countdown again. It’s worked wonderfully the last 2 years so we’re already excited about it this year.

We use 23 Christmas books and starting on December 1, the kids pick a book to read. Of course they switch out who picks so we don’t have too many arguments. But why 23 books? December 1-23 we read a new book, December 24 we read the story of Jesus’ birth from either the Storybook Bible or from our bible.
