Are you following along? You can see Part One : Getting Started and now we’re moving on to Equipment. I’ve shared about some of my Favorite Tools but there are a few little things that can help. Some of these might seem silly but they work!
Simple Tools // Search Pinterest for gardening tools and you’ll find lists upon lists. For us we like to be cheap. We like to figure out how to use what we can.
Buckets. Seed Tray, Plastic Cups, Soil, Scissors, Snips, Pruners, Twine, Shovel, Rake, Zipties
Books // The librarian has laughed at me a time or two because I will check out every gardening book there is. But for Mother’s Day I got a flower book and for Father’s Day J got a vegetable book. These are our favorites and we use them daily.
Cut Flower Garden, Vegetable Gardening in the Southeast,
Lagniappe // There’s a variety of tools to use and as you try things you’ll find more and more things that work for you. A few of my favorites are listed here. I can’t say enough about my apron and the boots. The boots are great even with my larger calves. They fit well and are comfy.
The Roo Apron, Slogger Boots, Stirrup Hoe
As you move along and figure out your own system, you’re going to get rid of some tools and get some new ones. We’re all different and have our preferences. Do what works best for you!
