If you know nothing about the military, know that they can mess up a timeline. Especially ones involving weddings.

I woke up one night and had a message on my phone that said “Photography 911”. I really only noticed the 911 part and jolted up.  Everything was fine but there was an emergency.  The Navy had messed up a schedule for a wedding and in the end the couple was beautifully married surrounded by family but they didn’t get professional pictures together. Since he would be soon deploying, pictures were important. So a friend of a friend connected us and we made it happen.

Congrats to the newlyweds. I was so excited to met and photograph them. I had to constantly hold back tears because the situation brought back memories. These two are gorgeous and so in love. He makes her smile and she squints her nose. He said he wasn’t crazy about pictures but he was doing them for her.
