The Rab Farm // Planning Some Planting

June 9, 2017

If you follow us on Instagram (HERE!) you’ll see that the cut flowers are blooming and there’s been fresh flowers inside and to be given. So now that I know I’m not a total failure, I’m trying more seeds. I recently sprouted some marigolds and they’re growing! Excited to hopefully get those in some hanging baskets on the new porch to ward off some mosquitoes.

After doing some research about what might work best here, I placed an order for some seeds from Floret Flowers. They just got here yesterday so I’m working on mapping out where everything should go according to height, sun requirements, and soil moisture.

We already have some Zinnias, Chinese Forget Me Nots, Sunflowers, Cosmos, and some other pretty colors growing. But I cannot wait to add (hopefully successfully) the following flowers to our yard/cut garden. So I’ll go back to drawing things out and planning. Then hopefully get some things in the ground while the weather is still nice.
