Recently Reading // August, September, October
It’s been a while since I shared about the books that I’ve been reading. Having a toddler + baby takes away a lot of my reading time. I used to read while Nate played outside but I now have to kids to keep my eyes and hands busy with. So here’s the list…
- Bebe Day by Day
- This book is a super easy and light read. If you’re interested in some cute and great tips on how the french raise kids check this book out.
- Breaking Busy
- Such a great book. I love her stance on getting out of our habits of thinking that busy means something. It’s eye opening that we do need to just get out of our calendars!
- Raising Can Do Kids
- Not my favorite parenting book. I didn’t finish it and returned it to the library early. I just wasn’t feeling it.
- Made to Stick
- Yes! Yes! Yes! One of my favorite books that I’ve read this year.
- The Super Mom Myth
- It’s ok.
- Better Together
- Loved this book. I enjoyed the language and the way the writer wrote this book.
- The Sh!t No One Tells You About Toddlers
- I honestly just skimmed through this book in the tub. Nothing life changing but there were some things that made me not feel alone about my own toddler’s behavior.
- Rising Strong by Brene Brown
- Everyone should read this book!
- Make Room for the Home You Love
- If you are someone who needs some help with organizing your home, this is a great resource. If you already have systems in place then you don’t really need this book.
- Having A Martha Home the Mary Way
- Same as the above book. If you need help thinking of ways to get everything done, check this book out!
- Wild Things
- Just what all boy moms need to read! This made me feel so much more confident in looking and learning about boy behaviors instead of just thinking they are “too rough” or whatever other thoughts I’ve had.
- The Life Giving Home
- I keep hearing RAVE reviews about this. Sally is a great writer but I’m not crazy about this book.
- Bread & Wine
- Loved! Great book to read before Thanksgiving also. The recipes are declious too!
- Simply Tuesday
- In the top 5 books I’ve read this year. I just loved the excitement I got after multiple Ah-ha moments while reading.
- Scary Close
- Just like everyone else says, it’s a must read!
Wow! I can’t believe I’ve read 15 books. There’s a few that didn’t make the list also. Plus all the kid books I read on a daily basis. We’re a book loving group! As always, you can find what I’m currently reading on Instagram under #laceyreads.
