Bible Organization with Washi Tape
I often get asked about the coloring and organization of my bible.
First off…I cannot take credit for this original idea. A friend found it online, we did it, and then I modified it after using it so it fit my system better.
Important to remember, that just because something works for someone else, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for you. Also, if you try something and it doesn’t work, try something else.
Washi tape and some organization is all this is. If you check out the Anatomy of the Bible you can see the breakdown of categories.
Each category gets a different color tape. Line the edge of the first page of each book. My bible pages have rounded edges so I made the tape length longer and then cut them.You’ll need at least 9 different styles of tape. Of course I went with an Americana vibe so all of mine are some combo of red, white, and blue.
Where to find washi tape? Amazon. Hobby Lobby. Target. WalMart. You can literally find it anywhere and everywhere. Why do this?
For me, it helps with searching for scriptures. I might not know the exact location of a book but this has helped with my overall knowledge and understanding of the Bible. I now can ask myself, what category does this book fall into, and then search that way. I love bible tabs but this makes it more based on my knowledge and understanding.
